To do this activity I went to my parents. They live in countryside and they have got quite a big garden, chickens and a cow, so we had enough resources to make meal from local ingredients.  So we got some potatoes from our cellar and fried them. These potatoes were grown in our garden (planted and dug by ourselves). Then we got some greens from our greenhouse (lettuce, rucola, some radish and spring onions) and some wild greens from just around the house (ground-elder, dandelion flowers). I just love wild greens because they are tasty, full of vitamins and come for free. We chopped greens, added some home-made sour cream and a little bit of crudled milk, mixed everything and finally decorated salad with yellow dandelion flowers. As we have got a cow, we make all possible milk products at home (sour cream, cottage cheese, cruddled milk, some sort of cheese, butter). So we ate fried potatoes with home made ketchup ( my mom's masterpiece, I don't know, how she makes it but it tastes much better than the regular thing you can buy in a shop) and salad. The meal was really lovely, and the best thing was that it was almost totally made from local ingredients (the only thing we needed to buy in a shop was salt). If we wanted to reduce tis meal's impact on the climate, we could have made some vegan recipe but this challenge we left for the next time.
